Trees: Critical Green Infrastructure

Cool Cities STL Pop-up

Investing in healthy urban tree canopies strengthens our communities in numerous ways. Trees clean and improve our air, filter stormwater and reduce runoff, and support biodiversity and habitat. Urban canopies bring communities together, beautifying and cooling our streets, residential neighborhoods and business centers.

Learn about efforts underway in Clayton to preserve and restore urban canopy, and other initiatives to increase and maintain trees throughout St. Louis County.

Thank you to our hosts at the City of Clayton!
